Once upon a time beyond the boundaries of ordinary perception lies a magical kingdom called E$$SENCELAND, a place of soaring dreams and unparalleled expectations. This is the tale of a young girl, whose journey led her to a city where enchantment and technology intertwined.
Here, humans took on the guise of half-robots, their hearts veiled by an absence of love, empathy and compassion. Within this extraordinary land, the pursuit of a currency known as E$$ENCE defined every interaction, overshadowing the essence of genuine human connection…
The girl arrived, her eyes brimming with wonder, as if stepping into a fairy tale. The streets hummed with the symphony of mechanical wonders, and the air crackled with an energy both arcane, luxurious and mysterious. However, amidst this grandeur, she sensed there was something wrong with the place…
She noticed very fast how the denizens of this captivating kingdom were lost in their greed blinded by their ceaseless devotion to the enigmatic E$$ENCE.
Every corner of this kingdom was luxurious, technological and futuristic. Nevertheless, there were a lot of poor beings in E$$SENCELAND, this was something that shocked the girl, a huge disparity in a place that was all about the exterior. She understood why citizens from other kingdoms were ready to sell their souls to be able to live here.
Connections were mere transactions of hollow words, echoed through the bustling streets. The girl was puzzled by the absence of warmth, the dearth of human connection. It was as if the very heart of this extraordinary place had been silenced, and the echoes of human pain fell upon deaf ears.
In E$$ENCELAND there are the biggest and most important Robocompanies that managed the universe. They export all kind of technology services to other galaxies, and develop the most innovative products that humans and robohumans use in every single corner of the Universe.
You heard well… Let me explain you about the Robohumans. In E$$ENCE LAND humans are a minority. Robohumans are a mankind of beings that are half humans. It takes 5 years to outsiders coming from other kingdoms to become Robohumans. Some of them resist, but there is no point on doing so.
Robohumans are not robots. They are hybrid. Observing the behaviour in E$$ENCE, the girl noticed some characteristics she wrote down as an instruction manual to be able to explain and help others understand the life in the kingdom:
Robohumans do not have soul, therefore they do not have feelings and they no longer have a heart of flesh, they have a heart of stone. They do not feel love, empathy, compassion, or remorse.
This is a problem because they create products and services for the human specie, That is why sometimes its creations can be harmful.
This is the what a Robohuman looks like.
His name is Viraj. He works at Salesrob, a company that gathers all the data of the different kingdoms at the different galaxies of the Universe.
Viraj came 8 years ago to E$$ENCELAND, he wanted to be able to make a lot of E$$ENCES and have a better life. He is coming from the kingdom of Vishnustan, where his family is.
Viraj works 12 hours per day, but since he does not feel, he is ok with it. Sometimes he is even not able to eat.
He is very successful though, he owns a Robocar that flies but he has rarely time to use it because he is all the time working.
On the weekends Viraj sleeps and watch movies about humans. He's able to feel nostalgia of the time he used to be a human. Viraj has one friend he meets once every 3 months when they both have time.
One of the things that the girl found very interesting was the fact that Robohumans do everything on their own: they drink on their own at the bar, they eat by themselves at the restaurant, even to the cinema, the theater, the concerts and the clubs.
Some of them even spend their holidays on their own.
This is John, he is a pure Robohuman born and raised in E$$ENCELAND.
He does not talk to his family since 10 years. He does not like human connection, he is taking empathy workshops because he would like to up-sell more for his company.
Every weekend he goes to the local bar and get drunk. At the end of the night he always goes home with a different female Robohuman, he claims he needs physical connection…
As you can see, not all the Robohumans look and act the same.
This is Joseph. He is going through the transition between a human and a Robohuman.
There is a common illness people in E$$ENCELAND suffer from and is called ANXIETY. Joseph started experiencing it after a year he moved to the kingdom. He is burnout and very lonely.
In E$$ENCELAND Robohumans use different types of drugs. Joseph for example takes Roboweed to be able to sleep and as soon he wakes up every day.
When he feels anxious he takes Robomushrooms and Roboacid to forget. But at the bank, where he works, he uses Robocoke, to be able to work 16 hours per day.
Let's talk about the most important thing in the kingdom: E$$ENCE, the currency
It is an intangible force that represented desires unfulfilled in the Kingdom.
It was the measure of success, power, and the pursuit of insatiable ambition.
Yet, as the girl observed the inhabitants, she saw how their obsession with Essence drained their humanity. Like clockwork, they toiled day and night, driven solely by the desire to acquire more, their eyes fixed on an elusive mirage of fulfillment…
The girl is lost and confused, trying to understand the mindset of the kingdom…she asks herself how to survive here…
