I am Natalia Cortes, a Colombian adventurer with a global mindset. My life's journey has led me to reside in ten captivating countries, allowing me to immerse myself in diverse cultures and partake in a myriad of enriching experiences. From studying and volunteering to working and teaching, I've embraced it all.
At the age of 20, I embarked on a life-changing adventure to pursue my studies in Europe. The continent captured my heart, becoming my second home for nearly seven transformative years. Europe not only left an indelible mark on my worldview but also shaped various aspects of my life, leaving me with cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
But my wanderlust didn't stop there…
I ventured into the enchanting Middle East, where the warmth of the people, rich history, and tantalizing flavors stole my heart. Returning to Latin America at the age of 30, I seized opportunities to work in vibrant countries such as Brazil, Peru, and my homeland, Colombia.
In Colombia, I established a non-profit organization in my hometown Bogotá, where I found immense happiness and fulfillment through meaningful social impact work. However, despite my best efforts, the organization faced challenges and ultimately didn't succeed.
Undeterred, I made the bold decision to transition to the dynamic tech world and become a UX Designer/Researcher in Silicon Valley. By blending my diverse background and past experiences, I strive to create products and services that make our world a better place.
Today, I am a trans-disciplinary and cross cultural designer, product strategist and Ux Researcher that loves working in Product Development, Research, Consulting & International Development.
I relish the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of different cultures, learning from those who are unlike me. I thrive on venturing off the beaten path, discovering hidden gems that few have had the pleasure of experiencing.
